The hotel basis for this tour is Jerusalem, the first and last day are only used for transfer in this itinerary example. If your arrival and/or departure times allow, these days can also used to visit sites. We use transportation with a separate driver, by doing that, we do not loose time finding parking, walking to and from the parking and we have the benefit getting picked up at different spots so you can see as much as possible.
The itinerary below can be customized to your wishes, we have a list of options for day tours to look at.
If you are interested we will be happy to schedule a video meeting with you to hear about your preferences and for you to learn about the local peculiarities and to avoid them having a negative influence on your trip.

DAY 1 – Transfer airport to Hotel in Jerusalem
Your driver will be waiting for you at Ben-Gurion Airport, the largest international airport in Israel and the main gateway to the country.
Transportation is with a luxury van.
DAY 2 – Jerusalem Old City and Mount Zion
You will enter into the walled city, which is divided in four quarters, each one of them with their unique population, buildings and traditions. We will start with the Armenian Quarter to reach Mount Zion, where the Room of the Last Supper and David’s Tomb are located.
We will stay outside of the wall to reach the City of David, the real old City of Jerusalem where you will reach the Pool of Siloam, a know place from the New Testament, via a 2700 year old tunnel.
Next is a visit to the Western Wall, the most significant site in the world for the Jewish people, where they have prayed for many centuries.
At the Western Wall Plaza you will go underground for another tunnel tour, offering a unique and fascinating look at the history of Jerusalem. Whether you are a history buff or just looking for a unique and interesting experience, a visit to the Western Wall Tunnels is sure to be a highlight of your trip to Jerusalem.
The exit of the tunnel tour is at the Via Dolorosa, the painful path of Jesus on his way to crucifixion. You will follow this route which will bring you to the holiest place for Christians: the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, located in the Christian Quarter.
Alternative: Visit the Temple Mount instead of the City of David. Not possible on Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish and Muslim Holidays. |
DAY 3 – Nazareth Village, Church of the Annunciation, Capernaum and Sail on the Sea of Galilee
You leave Jerusalem with your private guide and separate driver and will arrive in the center of Nazareth after 1.5 to 2 hours where you will first visit the Church of the Annunciation, which is believed to be located on the site where the Virgin Mary received the Annunciation from the Archangel Gabriel. The church is a major pilgrimage site for Catholics and is also a popular tourist attraction.
Next we visit Nazareth Village, an archaeological and historical site and a reconstruction of a first-century village, which is meant to give visitors a sense of what life was like in Nazareth during the time of Jesus. The village is located on a hill overlooking the city, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and olive groves. If possible we will enjoy a biblical meal in the village or have a lunch stop on the way to Tiberias, where you will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.
A bit further to the north you will visit Capernaum, the ancient village located on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee, which is known for its historical and religious significance. It is mentioned in the New Testament of the Bible as a center of Jesus’ ministry, and is believed to be the place where he performed many of his miracles.
Alternative: Christian oriented day tour: Sea of Galilee, Tabgha, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Yardenit- Baptismal Site |
DAY 4 – Mount of Olives, Bethlehem, Israel Museum (#23)
You will start the day on the top of the Mount of Olives with the most beautiful view of the city. Since antiquity, Jews have sought to be buried on the Mount of Olives, where according to the Bible the resurrection will begin. Eventually, the cemetery grew to cover much of the mountain and is still in use. After walking down Palm Sunday Road you will reach the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus is believed to have prayed before his arrest.
Next you exit Israel (do not forget your passport!) through one of the checkpoints to enter the city of Bethlehem where you will drive through the Old City neighborhoods before arriving at the main Manger Square.
Here we meet a local Palestinian guide who will join us in the Church of Nativity, the oldest church building in the Holy Land and the place of birth of Jesus. We will also visit the Shepherds Field that commemorates the place where, according to tradition, the announcement of Jesus’ birth to the shepherds by the angels happened.
We will finish the day at Israel Museum which is home to a diverse collection of art, archaeology, and natural history, and is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history and culture of the region. One of the highlights of the Israel Museum is the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Another one is the model of Jerusalem in the first century on a 1:50 scale.
