Menno is an experienced guide with a lot of knowledge Menno has shown us the entire ancient city of Jerusalem, from the Mount of Olives and Gethsemane to the city and the tomb of David, the tomb church and all Catholic pomp. While walking, he tells about the history of the Jewish people in a clear timeline, but also about current events. A 'must do' Tour, shedding historical insight and into the current Israel/Hamas conflict. Amit Musaei our Otef envelope Group Tour Guide was so knowledgeable about Israel's history, from the earliest times to present day. He was able to show how the present Gaza conflict fits into this history in a very easy to understand way. He provided us with historical maps and documents to further inform his talks.He took us to many sites linked to the Hamas terrorist attacks of Oct 7th, where the evidence of the atrocities are still visible.
He spoke throughout with superb insight, latterly sharing his own traumatic Nova Survivor story.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Amit's Otef border Tour. It was a privilege to have him as our Guide.

Gaza envelope tour This was a gaza envelope tour w. The guide was a survivor of the Nova festival. He provided a well balanced informative presentation of some of the causes of the conflict and hypothesised on the reasons that palestinians may be attracted to Hamas and terrorism. He provided an account of the history of Szerot and other towns and kibbutz in the area.Attending Szerot tower and Police station memorial was moving. The memorial is respectful and promotes peace.
Nova was also moving particularly as the guide provided his personal account. There were photos of victims and information boards. People wanted to enjoy life and were innocent victims of terror.
We visited a charity run hospitality base where soldiers could get a hot meal and a shower and supplies. It was really interesting getting the soldiers perspectives and supporting the charity to keep offering a respite to young soldiers who are risking their lives fighting terrorism.

I contacted a guide, Menno de Vries and he was just wonderful, he gave a great tour to Jerusalem, having a lot of knowledge of the history and he also arranged for me to get baptized. He filmed the baptism and later he carried my bag as usual. He also helped me to find and book a great hotel at the Via Dolorosa. He has a beautiful way of telling his story, he never lets you sink too low but gives space for the tough moments and big emotions. Amit is the Best! Amit is not only a wonderful tour guide but an amazing human being. His tour of the south and affected areas of October 7 started with a timely pickup on a Mercedes bus with A/C. I went solo and there were 7 other people on the tour. We drove south and listened to a lot of history that Amit told clearly and knowledgeably on the way. We visited Sderot first, with a few stops to tell the history of the city and what happened there on 10/7. We then continued to the Nova site. We heard his personal testimony. We visited the site with all the damaged cars from that dark Saturday. Then we stopped at Shuva to mingle with soldiers and volunteers.
It was a very meaningful day, and I took a lot away from the tour that I did not know before. It was special to bear witness with a Nova survivor. I highly recommend touring with Amit.

A somber experience.... Such a tragedy. A very sad place to visit, but essential to understand what happened here. Unfortunately, it demonstrates the violence human beings are capable of towards others.On the other hand, the memorials of the innocent victims who lost their lives or were injured because of hatred, live on.
Our guide was excellent and I felt safe during the entire tour. Even though I felt overwhelmed at the various sites, I am glad I went.

There is No Other Tour Guide Amit is the consummate tour guide. His knowledge of history, geography and other pertinent data is expansive. His ability as a storyteller is excellent. This tour is deeply emotional and Amit is able to navigate this landscape meaningfully for both tour participants and himself. His tour is rooted in personal experience, as he is a survivor of the Nova Festival. He describes the purpose and joy of trance dancing as a community building event whose purpose is joyous and celebratory. He both shows us through his own camera footage and words how this all changed on a dime. The additional stops on the tour are very powerfully presented with impact as well. Nice view, nice atmosphere, high prices, average food The prices are much higher than average TLV restaurants, but average prices compared to other vanues around the same area of the beach. She goes the extra mile to understand what you want to see and do, and adjusts the itinerary accordingly. Excepcional recorrido por la Franja de Gaza con un sobreviviente de Nova. Un día excepcional. Amit es un guía turístico muy informado que aporta su propio humor y carisma al relato de una zona que requiere muchos detalles. El tour nos llevo a miradores que muestran la proximidad de Gaza a Israel, a Sderot y, finalmente, al sitio de Nova, donde Amit compartió su propio testimonio de sobreviviente y la historia del devastador asesinato de algunos de sus amigos.

A Day to Remember This is a must See tour. It is one thing to read about these horrific events in the News, but being there was extremely powerful and emotional. An exceptional tour of the Gaza Envelope from a Nova Survivor We did a Gaza Envelope Tour with Amit Musaei. There were 8 of us in a minivan. The tour was extremely well organised from the moment I contacted.Amit, with all communication done via WhatsApp and all questions answered immediately.
The day itself was exceptional. Amit is an extremely knowledgeable tour guide who brings his own humour and charisma to the telling of an area of history which requires a lot of detail. He is absolutely partisan for those who are concerned. The trip takes you to lookout points showing you the proximity of Gaza to Israel, to Sderot, to the Reim parking lot and finally to the Nova site, where Amit shared his own survivor testimony and the story of the devastating murder of three of his close friends. It was truly a privilege to listen.
Amit is careful and carrying, always checking on the wellbeing of the participants. Although we were all adults, I’m sure that he would be great with children too, especially knowing that he has three of his own!
I would highly recommend him for any tour of Israel. You would have a great day with Amit, and return full of knowledge.

The stories make Jerusalem more beautiful then it already is. Because of knowledge of the stories and history, the archaeological layers get much more interesting to watch and experience. Menno has a lot of knowledge about it and nice to hear his answer on our questions.read moreshrink

Best tour in Jerusalem If you want to see all the nooks and crannies, but you also want to decide your own route, don't feel like bumping around in droves after a guide with a flag, then you book this tour.

We do everything we can to avoid negative surprises. We are transparent in our communications with clients, do not hide anything that is in- or excluded on (day) tours and get great motivation out of the 1000+ of travelers that rated our services EXCELLENT.
Our day tour to Jerusalem is ranked as the best experience in Israel, if you are planning to book it please read what it is about first and do not book it just because we are the only one leaving on a decent hour.
This tour is NOT about the Zionist Miracle, as Amy expected, it is also NOT a shopping tour, we do not visit souvenir shops and it is also NOT a religious tour where we wait in line for religious sites.
